FIND
OUT WHAT MAKES THE BEALE
TICK

The
Beale are
men of the world, real
men, who are oft so busy
with their other manly
exploits that they
replace their own members
with surrogates. They're
one of those bands who
exist without anyone
really realising,
including themselves,
which is a crying shame
as their Fall-flecked
and witty noise is a
treat for winter ears. [PL]
- PlayLouder.
[TB]
- The
Beale.
PL
-
Hullo The
Beale,
and how are you today?
TB
- Things
are getting on top so we
are just sitting off for
a bit if that's all right
with you.
PL
-
Quite alright. What can
you see out of the
window?
TB
- Elaborate
brickwork.
PL
-
What are you most looking
forward to about
Christmas?
TB
- The
annual Beale
hot knives competition.
PL
-
What was your finest
moment of 2006?
TB
- Supporting
Laibach Minsk. That's in
Belarus, you beauts.
PL
-
Please name three
non-musical influences on
The
Beale:
TB
- 1. Large
aussie whites from the
blob shop.
TB
- 2. Golf
apparrel.
TB
- 3. The
aforementioned 'hotties'.
PL
-
What can those of us at
the PlayLouder
gig expect from you
chaps?
TB
- Art for
art's sake.
PL
-
Can you explain the
mysterious practice of The
Surrogate Beale?
TB
- The
Surrogate Beale
is a surrogate band,
founded in order to
maintain The
Beale
in the event of absence
of any founder member.
Current status:
understudies. The aim: The
Surrogate Beale
to perform at gigs
"while The
Beale
dance."
PL
-
Who would be your
ultimate Christmas party
band?
TB
- Roger
Waters'
Floyd
performing 'The Wall'.
PL
-
Will you go out with a
bang or a whimper?
TB
- With
a scowl. |
