All these times were
achieved before the advantages
gained through the use of such
technological advances as
tri-bars, clipless pedals,
disc-wheels and low-profile
carbon-fibre frames.

I also rode to most events on the
morning (carrying my race wheels
seperately on the bike), and rode
back home afterwards.

For my best '50' time I rode the
30 miles up to Wetherby for the
start, rode the event, and rode
home again. |

In 1973 I was placed 6th in

Best-All-Rounder Competition
promoted by the Road Time Trials Council

50, 100 and 12 hours cycling).
