the millbank society of melon - a celebration the millbank society of melon was formed in late july 2oo2. it was formed by anita wernstrom and adrian r. shaw. the millbank society of melon will be organising various projects concerning the millbank area of london.

	project 1 - august 2oo2 the first artist to take part is adrian r. shaw. he his making an outdoor sculpture called "red string theory" (den roden traden) it will appear at the side of an empty building (1o5 marsham street) on some patio stones where plants are growing. the artist says "i saw all these plants and wanted string between them all. the string had to be red."
	about the artist - adrian r. shaw adrian makes all kinds of art in a variety of mediums and writes and sings a lot in his band the teenbeat. a graduate (ma) in visual culture from goldsmiths. he is involved in various projects up and down the a1. he is currently has a painting in the "viva pablo" show at the bart wells institute. he is exhibiting at the liverpool biennial this september.
